Visit Leelanau State Park This Fall

Leelanau State Park is a great place to visit during the Fall. Leelanau means land of delight and it stays true to it's name. The trees at this time are changing colors, the weather is nice, and there are plenty of activities to do! Whether you just want to walk around on the coast, view a little of history, or wade in the lake; there is plenty of things to do for people of all ages. We highly recommend this park for anyone who loves a little bit of Michigan history. There is a lighthouse located at the edge of the park on the coast of Lake Michigan. This lighthouse was built in 1852 and had been completely restored in the 1920s and 1930s. They have a nice gift shop for any souvenirs and are . . . Read more

On August 21st, most of the United States will be in a prime position to watch the solar eclipse. If you happen to be in St. Joseph, Missouri that will be the best possible spot to watch the total solar eclipse. However, if you will be in Michigan, that’s okay too! There are many optimal spots to watch a partial eclipse, as listed below.   1. Robert T.
