Dewberry Farms

A local favorite for many is Dewberry Farms in Brookshire, Texas.  It is open weekends starting September 30th through November 11th, 2017.  They offer a slew of activities for the whole family including a corn maze, hayrides, train rides, a zip line, and a barnyard filled with cute farm animals.  Take a walk through their Pumpkin Hollar which is a dark and spooky trail lined with over 500 lighted pumpkins! Then grab a bite to eat and watch the fireworks on Saturday, Oct 21st

Blessington Farms

Located just 20 minutes west of Katy, TX this fun farm is another local favorite.  Their Fall Fest is open weekends in October from 10am-5pm and features hay rides, giant slides for kids and adultsJ, barrel train rides and a small petting zoo filled with furry farm animals.  Make it a full day event and go fishing in their private pond for an additional $6.  Cost for admission is $18.48 but includes everything you get to see and do at the farm.

They are open year-round as well for some delicious u-pick fruits including blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries.  You can schedule school field trips with them and host birthday parties. For more information visit blessingtonfarms.com.

Halter Inc

Halter Inc’s annual fundraising Pumpkin Patch has been featured on TLC’s “The Little Couple” and is open every weekend in October.  The cost is $5 per child ages 2-16. Adults are free. Tickets for food, activities and rides are extra.  All the money goes toward them being able to train mini horses as pet therapy animals for special needs children in the Houston area. 

The pumpkin patch features pony rides, a petting zoo, haunted trail, hay rides, a stock yard maze, and mini horse cart rides.  They serve chips and hot dogs for tickets but also feature Food trucks from select vendors for different options this year.  For more information visit http://www.halterinc.org/ pumpkin-patch.
