Best RV Spots for Memorial Day

Memorial Day is the unofficial kickoff to summer.  School is out (for most), pools and parks open for the season, and many pack up their RV and head out for their first weekend of camping.  There are plenty of festivals, parades, and of course military memorial celebrations to pay tribute to those who have fought and are fighting for this country.  If you are setting out in your RV to the Nashville area, here are a few of the best RV spots for Memorial Day.

Best for Families- Jellystone RV Park, Nashville – Jellystone is one of the top rated RV parks in the Nashville area.  It’s great for families because there is always something to do for the kids to keep them busy.  This Memorial Day weekend is no different.  There will be a parade, drive in movies, games and crafts for the kids. They are also hosting a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project with raffles, drawings, and much more.  As a thank you, the park is offering a 25% discount for all active and retired military personnel.  It may be a busy time for the park but it will be worth it for the cause.

Lebanon/Nashville East KOA– one of the top rated KOA campgrounds in Tennessee.  With plenty of pull thru sites and full hookups, weekends fill up fast here. It’s the perfect blend of being close to the city without being in it.  The pool opens Memorial Day weekend, there is a dog park for your fur-friends, a camp store, and on-site laundry facilities.  Plus, the campground is only 20 minutes from Nashville so you can still partake in the many Memorial Day activities of the city and relax in the country.
