Since the beginning of the year, there have been activities all across Canada in celebration of our country’s 150th birthday. The activities are meant to celebrate Canada’s diversity, encourage inclusion, establish a spirit of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples and discover Canada’s natural beauty. A couple of signature events going on is the Canadian Multiculturalism Day and Canada Day.
Canadian Multiculturalism Day – June 27th
The day is an opportunity to celebrate our diversity and our commitment to democracy, equality and mutual respect. There will be many festivities taking place from coast to coast in celebration. Check here for more specific dates, times and regions where the fun will be!
Canada Day – July 1st
The is an opportunity for our great country to come together and celebrate all that we have in common. It is a time to celebrate our achievements, which were born from the exemplar vision of our shared ancestors. Canada Day is a time to celebrate the heritage passed down to us through the works of our authors, poets, artists and performers. It is a time to rejoice in the discoveries of our scientific researchers, the success of our entrepreneurs and to commemorate our history.
