Red, White and Blue Cheesecake Strawberry Bites
These deliciously healthy and festive treats are so easy to make. Plus they will brighten up any 4th of July party.
Start by cutting clean strawberries in half. Feel free to leave the green leaf tops on the strawberries for some added color and decoration. They make a nice handle, too. On the cut open face of the strawberries pipe some cream-cheese frosting on and then add some fresh blueberries on top.
American Flag Fruit Kebabs
Not only is this treat super festive and fun, but it is also super simple to make.
Start by make the first five kebabs with the top halves lined with blueberries, then make the bottom halves with raspberries and bananas. Make the last 6 or so kebabs with just raspberries and bananas. Then arrange all the kebabs to look like the American flag. You can also sprinkle some lemon juice over the fruit to keep them looking fresher for longer.
This yummy drink is the perfect accent to a patriotic party or picnic. All you need is one bottle of apple juice, one bottle or sprite, one to two cups of frozen strawberries, one cup of frozen blueberries and 2 apples sliced in 1.5in thick rounds.
Start off by cutting star shapes into your apples. You can freehand the star shapes using a knife blade and just softly scour the surface of the apple to make a rough star shape, then cut it out and use it as a “stencil” to cut more stars- but if you have a star shaped cookie cutter, that would save you a lot of time. With your apple stars cut, add frozen strawberries to the bottom of your pitcher and cover with juice and sprite (in equal parts). Next, add your apple stars in on top of the strawberries. You’ll want to line them around the sides of the pitcher so you can see them as a middle layer. Next, fill it up with more juice and sprite. Add frozen blueberries on top as a floating layer, and serve! To make this an adult version, add a bottle of wine, or some tequila, vodka or rum. Just be warned- fruit soaks up alcohol.
